11/12/2023 0 Comments Jdm engine corporation![]() ![]() *********** said that they would contact ******************** on my behalf and see if they would take responsibility for the **** as they had stated they would multiple times on the phone. I was informed by *********** that JDM Engine Zone had listed me as the financially responsible party, and that they hadn't even issued a **** to JDM Engine Zone. I no longer trusted JDM Engine Zone so I contacted *********** directly. I contacted JDM Engine Zone and was told not to worry that it was simply a copy for my records and that they would pay the **** at the end of the month. A few days later I received a **** from *********** for the return shipment of the engine. Two and a half hours later I finally received an email confirming that a refund had been issued. I was told once again that the warranty department was at lunch but that I would receive a response about the refund in about an hour. I called once again and demanded to know what was going to be done about my warranty claim. I waited a week with absolutely no response or correspondence from JDM Engine Zone. I received confirmation from *********** that the engine had been received by JDM Engine Zone. I was finally given a pickup appointment and the engine was shipped back to JDM Engine Zone. I waited 24 hours with no response so I called again and demanded a pickup time due to the absolute lack of correspondence, and misleading directions. I was told on the phone that they couldn't help me that I needed to respond to the warranty teams email, and they'd schedule the pickup, so I did. I was told by *** to contact them when the ****************** was ready to be picked up, therefore I called to let them know when it was ready. This cost me and my small business several more hours in labor as the engine was disassembled to perform JDM's required maintenance. He then informed me that the engine would have to be assembled and in the exact condition as it was when shipped. However, as of today there are still VG33E engines for sale on JDM Engine Zones's website. I was also informed that this particular kind of engine (****** VG33E) was notorious for this sludge buildup issue and that they were going to remove them as an option from their website due to too many warranty claims. I was then transferred to a representative named *** who got my warranty request approved, and assured me that I would receive a refund as well as they would cover the return shipping. I asked to speak with the warranty department but was told that they only communicate via email. I picked up my work phone (that I hadn't used to contact them up until this point), and attempted to call again. I attempted to call again but the phone rang out, unanswered, three separate times. I called again and was told the "warranty department was at lunch", but was assured that my request would be put at the top of the list, and I'd receive a response immediately upon their return from lunch. I called again, was placed on hold for 10 minutes, and then hung up on. After completion of the form I waited for more than 24 hours with no response. I immediately called JDM Engine Zone and was told to fill out the online warranty request form and they'd be in touch within 24 hours. The engine I received had large amounts of dirt and engine grime built up in the spark plug bores indicating they had never been removed (its impossible to test compression without removing spark plugs). JDM Engine Zone claims to compression and leak down test all their engines yet I find that hard to believe. When the valve cover was removed I discovered a massive amount of engine oil sludge buildup. Upon delivery I inspected the engine and began the tear down process necessary to perform the maintenance repairs required by JDM Engine Zone. The representative was pleasant enough, and was able to send me the missing notification. However after a week waiting for a shipment notification, that never came, I called and spoke with one of their representatives. The order process went smoothly and I immediately received an order confirmation. I recently placed an order with JDM Engine Zone for a ****** VG33E, and quickly came to realize I would regret the decision for weeks to come.
